Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma has declared a dusk to done curfew in nine local government of the state and instructed immediate arrest of the perpetrators.
The curfew is to reduce tension in the local government areas following the gun battle between the Nigerian Army and members if the Eastern Security Network in Orlu which has left about five persons dead.
An eye witness informed Theplebisciteworld.com that the gun battle began on Saturday between Nigeria soldiers and men from the bush. The soldiers he said ran away only to return on Monday afternoon.
Continuing, he said the soldiers came with six Hilux vans and began to arrest, torture and force people to close their businesses.
“This happened for some minutes until the ESN came in a Siena. In a bid to stop the soldiers from arresting Orlu youths, there was a serious duel in Orlu,” he said.
