It is believed or said that about 70 percent of married Couples have extra marital affairs. Some call it cheating, but is it ?
God in the Holy Scriptures gave the first man Adam, a wife after he observed in His infinite wisdom and knowledge that” it was not good for a man to be alone”. Adam was a hunter and farmer by creation. What could God have seen? He may have seen Adam admiring animals and knowing that bestiality would follow if nothing was done to help man. God knows that Man being a hunter could start hunting and rearing animals both for for food and sex.
Imagine Adam capturing a cow, and after having sex with it for a while Adam sees starts lusting after an antelope. Then he would kill the cow, and enjoy the meat with the antelope whom he would later kill and eat. This was the thought Adam was harboring in his human mind, and God looks at the heart of Man, so God knew.
What would the product of coitus between Adam and these animals be or look like. If anything, they would never look like God in whose image Adam was created. For example, the Bible did not record kind things about the coitus between Angels and humans which was said to be the origin of Giants and the Anakims in the scriptures. Remember Goliath the Philistine Giant whose death by the sling of David set the later apart as a great Israeli warrior? Yes, God did not like that kind of species of humans, hence their extinction over time. It was a result of the hunting escapades of humans and spirits. The heart of humans is desperately adventurous.
Man being a hunter continues to hunt for food and sex till date. Moderated by religion the chief amongst them being Christianity, the one man to one wife system continues to face challenges owing to the hunting habits and tendencies of man. With the imancepation of the modern woman, they also started hunting like men for sex and food. Today I think the morden women folk are unknowingly engaged in a run, to outdo men in the game of hunting! How do you explain the tightly body- hug, very exposing dressing women prefer today? First they not only wear trousers originally designed and meant for men, they prefer light, soft skin tight materials that reveal and highlight all their nody curves and bulges. Secondly, they have majorly abandoned their natural hair for different hair makes and types,and even colored to match their emotions at any time. Thirdly, they are not satisfied with their natural nails, eye lids, and lashes, size of their boobs and backsides. All is aimed at, and weaponised for hunting. Its about hunting for love, sex, food, and in pursuit of pleasure. Men and Women have become hunters. The difference is that while women rose up and made themselves hunters after men, Men grew up to find themselves as hunters by creation.God Himself made man the hunter he is. That is how men are wired from their creator.
These days, and most of the time, it is said that “a woman will be tested when her man has nothing and A man will be tested when he has everything”
My neighbour is married to her husband for 8 years with 4 children together. They go on date nights, active intimacy and go on family trips. They were a perfect couple in my opinion until we found out he had a 4 year affair with a woman and only told his wife because he was getting threatened by his mistress. A man can have 90% of the perfect life but will cheat for the missing 10% only to realize that he messed up and he only has 10% now. Is it an ego thing ? The whole society is full of persons that have either cheated or are neck deep in it. However it’s not all men that cheat. There is a large population of men who are VERY loyal to their wives and from what I have read from the other responses, Iam sure their wives would be very proud. I have also observed that highly religious men especially practicing Christian Men form the bulk of these very loyal ones to their wives or fiancees. In return they enjoy happier family lives and more stable emotional balances. They start the day with prayer and end it with prayer with their family. Children are thought to trust and depend on God, who in turn keep them from harms way, police contravention and subsequent incarceration. Very rarely do you find deviants from among the children of such God fearing and trusting families. They overcome their individual and family challenges and storms trusting God and the heavenly protection, guidiance, encouragement and support.
Women do cheat, based on their desire for psychological,and emotional drives. Modern women like men do hunt for food and sex also. Some of them have high roof egos that pull them away from loyalty to their spouses, into perverse disloyalty.They often prey on weak non-spiritual males to meet their carnal demands. They and their male counterparts float in life, without any solid foundations and grounds. The result often is crisis ridden marriage, increase in divorce and separations that often traumatise the offsprings .

Cheating by married couples depend on who you marry, how they were raised and what their values are. If a woman marries to run or escape lack of money, she will cheat and leave that marriage when things get rough. Such women always compare their husbands with other men. They can be identified from the numerous men they keep as friends, who are potential replacements for their husbands.
Whatever the reasons for cheating, it is always awkward to catch a married woman cheating. The cheating woman is a deviant and must not be copied by any. It is an unlucky man that marries a woman that will cheat on him.
Men who cheat do so because of the nature of men to explore and hunt from creation. These are the spiritually weak ones. However most married men who cheat also protect their marriage and cater well for their children. Remember Men are explorers and hunters
Who then is the cheater? The woman ultimately is the cheat for she was created to help the man.She should be encouraged to stay focused and committed to her Spouse as long as she lives.
